Behavioral health therapy helps a person identify and change troubling thoughts, emotions, and behaviors through the use of evidence based interventions. This can improve quality of life and foster emotionally rich connections with others.
People seek out these services for many reasons including a recent stressor or trauma, a new job, a family member or friend passing away, relational or family difficulties or children struggling with behaviors or emotions. We all have times we find ourselves struggling with managing these life circumstances and Sunrise Collaborative services may be the right step for you to begin or continue making progress towards your goals.

Medication Management is another service offered at Sunrise Collaborative, LLC. This is a process where our Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner prescribes, monitors, and adjusts medications to help manage mental health symptoms identified by you during an evaluation. The prescriber actively listens to you and discusses medication options that may be helpful to you.

At Sunrise Collaborative, LLC., our goal is to provide a safe, relaxing, and comfortable environment fostering the therapeutic process. The length of treatment depends on each person and the specific things going on in their life. There are a variety of interventions that are utilized. You and your licensed provider will work together to determine the best plan for you.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT
Medication management involves evaluating, prescribing, and monitoring medications to help address the symptoms you are experiencing. Our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners take a trauma informed and holistic approach, focusing on understanding your individual needs, monitoring progress, making adjustments, and ensuring medications are used safely and effectively. They will work with you, and when appropriate, with your therapist, to promote emotional balance and stability.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual therapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We take a trauma informed and person centered approach, recognizing the impact of life events while focusing on your strengths and capacity for growth. Using evidenced based practices, our licensed clinicians work collaboratively with you to reduce distressing symptoms, build coping skills, and foster greater self understanding. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, past trauma, or life transitions, we are here to help you heal, grow, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
FAMILY THERAPY
Every family has its own story, strengths and patterns. Family therapy helps families strengthen communication, deepen understanding, and work through challenges together. Using evidenced based practices and working together, our clinicians help families navigate conflict, manage transitions, and build healthier relationships.
COUPLES THERAPY
Couples therapy provides a space for partners to reconnect, heal, and grow together. We understand that every relationship faces challenges, and our trauma informed approach helps both partners feel heard, respected, and understood. Using interventions such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Imago Relationship Therapy, our clinicians work collaboratively with couples to improve communication , rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection. Whether you are navigating conflict, recovery from past hurt, or simply wanting to deepen your bond, we are here to help you create a healthier, more fulfilling relationship.
CLINICAL LICENSURE SUPERVISION AND PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION
We offer professional licensure supervision and consultation for mental health providers seeking guidance, growth, and support in their professional development. Our supervision is grounded in trauma informed and evidence based principals, creating a reflective and collaborative space to strengthen clinical skills, enhance ethical practice, and build professional confidence. Whether you are working toward state licensure or seeking consultation to navigate complex clinical cases, our supervisors have diverse clinical and administrative experience who provide mentorship that promotes competence, self awareness, and professional integrity.

Sunrise Collaborative's providers are participating with most insurances. The specific insurance plan your provider is credentialed with does vary, so be sure to discuss this when calling the office. We accept Aetna, Centivo, Cigna, Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Humana, Community Care Behavioral Health -Managed Medicaid, Independent Health, Medicare, MultiPlan, Optum Behavioral Health, The Health Plan, UMR, United Healthcare, and UPMC.

​I am the Co-Owner of Sunrise Collaborative and a Masters Level Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been providing behavioral health services since 2005 after graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. In 2008 I completed graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh main campus with a Master's Degree in Social Work. My experience includes working at a partial hospitalization program for children and adolescents in Indiana, PA, a partial hospitalization program for adults with severe and persistent mental illness in Harrisburg, PA, an intensive outpatient drug and alcohol program and an inpatient psychiatric unit in McKeesport, PA, and an outpatient mental health therapy program in Jamestown, NY. Additionally, I was the Clinical Supervisor and then promoted to Executive Director at a local behavioral health company in Warren, PA for over 5 years. I started private practice part time in 2014 and developed Sunrise Collaborative, LLC., in 2016. I went full time in private practice in 2019. Areas of clinical focus are on anxiety disorders and trauma resolution therapy. I have also provided a number of personalized trainings to employers and their employees in Warren County, PA over the years. I am trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have been using this clinical intervention to help people work through their traumatic experiences since 2014. I enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 children and our favorite destination is the beach. I like to fill my spare time with carpentry projects and being outdoors.

I am the Co-Owner of Sunrise Collaborative and a Masters Level Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I started my career in York, Pa in 2007 where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at York College of Pennsylvania. I worked with youth during this time in a variety of settings including an intensive outpatient behavioral day program and an after school program. In 2011 I began my career in Warren County working with youth in residential, home, school and community settings. I transitioned into family work and then began outpatient therapy where I worked with clients ages 3-88! During this time I also obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Edinboro University. I am certified in Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and utilize both interventions with adults and children with trauma. Other evidence based interventions I often use include CBT, DBT and Family Systems Theories. My goal in therapy is to be a part of each person’s journey to better themselves and provide sustainable and long term resolutions. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 kids, being outdoors and enjoying a good movie night with popcorn and chocolate.

​I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 18 years of diverse experience in the fields of behavioral health, substance abuse and child welfare. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings providing individual, family and group therapy to individuals of all ages. I am trained in treating those who experience depression, anxiety, grief, marital/relationship issues, trauma and addiction. I have specialized training in treatment of postpartum depression and perinatal loss and I am certified in Integrative Couples and Sex Therapy. I believe that while the healing process and recovery looks different for each person, it is possible for everyone.

I don’t have a magic wand, a crystal ball or all the answers but I do have ears to listen, time to give and ideas to share. I may not be to fix all your problems but I can promise you won’t have to face them alone. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified in Mental Health Integrative Medicine. I received my degree at the University of Pittsburgh, where I was trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My experience includes working with individuals struggling with grief and loss, geriatric mental health, domestic violence, anxiety and depression. I have worked in many areas of social work throughout my career, including child welfare, working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, outpatient mental health provider and many years as a Medical Social Worker.
I am a mother and blessed to be a grandmother of seven wonderful grandchildren. Through this life and work experience I have learned that healing has to include not just the mind but also the body and spirit. My interests include essential oils, herbs, gardening, and traveling.

I am Licensed Social Worker passionate about helping members of our community. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Slippery Rock University in 2013. In 2015, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from California University. I started my career as a preschool teacher but felt a strong pull toward advocacy, well-being, and doing what I can to help others. For over eight years I have been working with diverse populations of all ages in child welfare. I started out as a caseworker and moved into coordinating and facilitating family group conferences. During the course of my child welfare career, I obtained my Master's Degree in social work to better serve my community and increase my skills. With empathy and compassion, I am looking forward to helping people become the best version of themselves and overcome adversity and trauma in the outpatient setting. I am also looking forward to working alongside Sunrise Collaborative's skilled team of providers. In my spare time, I enjoy making memories and having adventures with my family. ​​

​Hi, my name is Brenda Ristau, I am the Administrative Assistant. I have been with Sunrise Collaborative, LLC., for almost 2 years. I enjoy working here and interacting with the community. When you walk into the office, I will greet you with a smile and make sure your check in/out process is a warm and comfortable experience! I schedule appointments and can assist you with any questions or concerns you may have when you call or visit the office. I truly love my job and being the face of Sunrise Collaborative! I am a Warren native. I attended Central Penn Business College and majored in Early Childhood Development/Business Management. I returned to Warren after college as I knew it was a great community to raise a family. I taught Pre-K for 5 years. After realizing teaching wasn’t really what I wanted to do, I moved into a totally different field where I was a clothing buyer for a large clothing company for 23 years. When I am not at work I love spending time with our adult children, family, and friends. I love the outdoors. During the summer months you can find me camping or on our boat. I also enjoy archery hunting and love to ice fish in the winter. I am excited to be working at Sunrise and serving our community.
Courtney Henry

I have worked in the mental health field since I was 18 years old, starting in the adult group homes located within Warren County. I attended Clarion University and obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitative Science with a concentration in Substance Abuse. Since graduating in 2006 I have worked in various aspects of the mental health field ranging from in home family-based services to inpatient psychiatric care. In 2019 I began working at Sunrise Collaborative as an Administrative Assistant and have been promoted to Office Manager. I enjoy working at Sunrise Collaborative and strive to help clients with any questions or concerns they may have. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four daughters. We spend a lot of our free time traveling for softball and horse shows, but also enjoy camping with friends and family.
